Cow Herd

Our cowherd bloodlines are basically Line One. We've made some major upgrades in our selection of female progeny this year by adding females from Jamison's, Baker's and Harland's to capitalize on some proven genetics. We are using these genetics to develop the sought after type of Hereford that is viewed to be the ideal animals of the industry. Our passion for the best in the business began over fifty years ago as I worked alongside my father, Cy Goertz, in the establishment of Goertz Herefords.

Goertz Herefords was founded in Marion, Kansas, in 1950 by my father. The business was started to provide commercial ranchers with bulls to raise feeder calves. The foundation lines of the business were Anxiety 4th and Mischief from Marvin Mills at St. Francis, Kansas, along with Sam Donald and HH Advance bloodlines.

My father raised Hereford cattle for over 40 years and was an exhibitor at the National Western with a pen of bulls from 1954-1974. His love of the breed continues in our hearts as we build excellence in the Double Heart Diamond Cattle Company.
